These buicks are far and few in between, this one is NOT a ´Restore´ project. It is completely ORIGINAL. ** So, What´s the Value..?.. Prior to 1959, the Roadmaster and the limited constituted the upper echelon of Buicks line-up. For 1959, they were renamed the Electra and then the Electra 225. Respectfully, later on in the year 1960, no signs of wear on the brake pedal, the mileage for this particular vehicle should be accurate at 16,444. For 1960, the Electra used the General Motors C-body shared with the 98 and Cadillac. Riding on a longer 126´ (3,200 mm) wheel base, than the B-body LeSabre and Invicta. Both which rode on 123´ (3,100 mm). The standard and only available engine was the 401 cubic-inch wildcat V-8 with a four barrel carborator, 10.25 to 1 compression ratio and 325 Horsepower (242 kw) mated to a Dynaflow automatic transmission. Which was also standard equipment along with the power steering and power brakes using Buick´s unique 12´ (300 mm) finned aluminum brake drums. Power windows were a standard feature on the Electra sedans. The Electra, along with all the other 1959-1960 Buicks, featured all new styling shared with other G.M. divisions that included slanted headlights in front along with the concave chromed square grill. Somewhat similar to the 1958 Buick and Delta-wing fins back along with round tail lights. The paint and bodyare completely ORIGINAL on this 1960 car.. I purchased it from an 80 year old woman about 6 years ago after she tied the engine up. The oil pressure send unit was damaged by a careless mechanic, and it pumped out all the oil and siezed. New engine runs great, has a 2001 3800V6 engine (no supercharger) had 42,000 miles when It was put in (dec. 2005) I actually saw the donor car and verified the miles before it was yanked out. New tires about a year or so ago, has maybe 5000 miles on them. I took it on a 900 (round) mile trip last thanksgiving, my passengers couldn´t believe how well it ran and drove. Drives straight, one new high quality front hub put in about 2 months ago. I also replaced the climate control computer about 15 months ago with a brand new GM unit. Right before the Tenn. trip I changed the anti freeze and replaced a hose nipple on the intake. Very quiet exhaust, all glass is good. Leather seats, interior is still pretty nice, green color on body, tan interior. The bad, it needs an A/C compressor, and the horn doesn´t work. Body is pretty good, has some faded spots, no accident damage, solid except for under the doors, no water leaks, dry trunk. Gets about 27 MPG highway, cruises like you´re floating on air, you just won´t find cars that ride like this today.Like all used cars, it has it´s bumps, bruises, and little problems here and there, but it´s dependable as hell. I´d get in it right now and drive it to Florida. Sold as is, where is, no warranties. I MIGHT consider trades, or partial trades, on a running motorcycle, or NICE brand name 4 wheeler. Details: Hello I have a 1967 Buick GS 340 for sale. It´s a restoration project car is complete I started tearing motor apart to pull out since the cam went bad but motor ran before i started to take apart. Everything is there and car is together. It´s a 3 speed on the floor with a hurst shifter and has a custom center console with 5 guages in it and a tach above steering wheel. The Car was Originaly a 3 in the tree. And I have parts to go with car including extra heads and valve covers and intake 2 alternators, drive shaft wheel cylinders Body bushings, wheel cylinder rebuild kits, gaskets, passenger window and a back window and 2 front wing windows and more that i cant even list (have a whole cabinet full of stuff) Also have a set of 67 GS 400 Rims.. The motor in the car is original it has original heads and intake carb alternator valve covers the only thing that ain´t original is the air cleaner and holly fuel pump. This car is a lot more rare than the 400 model, they only produced 3692 of them and that was 45 years ago so you can quess about how many are left. The car came factory with no power steering and no power brakes and no seat belts but seat belts have been installed. The car has been in my family for 32 years and I really hate to let it go but I don´t think I´m going to have time to do the car justice.The Floors are solid, There is some rust on rear quarters behind on tires and there is some at the bottom of back window, and not to sure about trunk since it is full of parts and is still carpeted but all in all its a pretty solid. When my Dad had the car apart in the ealy 1980´s he undercoated everything so nothing would rust out so it should all be pretty solid .
