Details: I am pondering over whether or not I should try to fix it or sell it...This car is very sentimental to me as it was my parents car, but my ex wrecked it about 8 years ago and I have since had it in a storage unit. My husband and I have been tinkering with it and got it to start yesterday but it didn´t stay running for long. I remember is still ran when it was parked, not sure what the issue is. It has a 455.4 engine and I remember when I use to drive it, it had tons of power...When my ex wrecked it, it messed up the drivers side fender, the grill, the lights on the drivers side, and pushed that fender back into the drivers door. You can still open the door it is just harder to open. Before that the only issues with it were the power windows didnt work and the seals around the doors need replaced so it leaked on the driver seat so it would need new upolstery inside. Well you have heard all the bad, now the rest of the car is in good shape, the glass is all good. I am just putting this out there, there might be someone interested in doing a restore on her or needing parts for theirs or ???? Details: You are looking at a 1968 Buick GS 400. This is an all original car. It is an automatic with air conditioning. It has power windows and a power bench seat. I bought the car and it was not running. I have the original number matching 400ci V-8 on an engine stand. It has never been rebuilt but it needs to be. I installed a 1976 455ci V-8 motor to make the car a runner. It was a direct bolt in. This motor only had 80,000 original miles on it. I rebuilt this motor, and as you can see from the pictures, I added a lot of extras. There is an aluminum intake, a brand new timing cover, new aluminum valve covers, a set of headers, a brand new radiator, a rebuilt power steering pump, and a brand new dual exhaust system and mufflers professionally installed. The other work I have done to the car is I had the original Turbo 400 automatic transmission rebuilt, I rebuilt the whole front end of the car which includes all new ball joints, tie rod ends, new control arm bushings, brand new springs and shocks. The only thing that is not original to the car is the front brakes. I installed brand new disc brakes, master cylinder and porportioning valve. I have not put 500 miles on the car since I did all the work. As you can see from the pictures the car needs some body work done to it. I have had the hood, the trunk, and both front fenders bead blasted. The hood and trunk need no work done to them. They are perfect. The two front fenders need some work done to them. I have ALL the parts to the car except the grille. It was missing when I got the car. The black interior is in fair to good shape. I have loads and loads of extra parts for the car to include a whole rear body half to use to replace the rear quarters, two doors with everything on them, a second steering column, a second dash/instrument panel, three front bumpers and two rear bumpers, and miscellaneous original nuts, bolts, fasteners, etc.I am selling the car because I have no more time to finish it.The selling price of the car is $3,500.00 or best offer.
